When the Meadow Blooms Available for Pre-Order

I just turned in a second round of edits on my upcoming release, When the Meadow Blooms, that will be available May 2, 2022. Normally, at this stage I don’t have to do a great deal of editing except for places where a deleted line or a change of wording can make the reading better. But this time, my editor asked for some chapters to be switched around to make a new opening for the story. She also asked me to weed out places where I slowed the progress of the story to tell more about my characters. I am a character centered writer and sometimes I so want readers to understand and like my people that I may tell a little too much of their back story. I say may, but my editors sometimes say there isn’t any “may” about it. They want to make sure I keep heading down the story road without making too many trips down side trails.

So, I did my best to make the story better. I do hope you all are going to like these new people who embrace country life on a beautiful farm I have named Meadowland. Next spring, I’ll be more than ready to share plenty of flower filled meadow photos with you like this one. Daisies are generally abundant around here in the spring.

I realize that May is a few months away, but When the Meadow Blooms is showing up on internet sites now with the option to pre-order the book. One of the best places to do that is the Baker Book House. I love a brick and mortar bookstore, especially one that is devoted to Christian fiction and Christian living the way Baker Book House is. Then on top of that, they offer the best deal you can find for Christian fiction, especially pre-orders. Right now you can pre-order When the Meadow Blooms from Baker Book House and receive a 40% discount plus free shipping. That’s  a great deal. To make it even more fun, if you do pre-order one for yourself or someone on your Christmas list and let me know by December 15th, I’ll send you a personal note plus a bookplate for the recipient of the book whether that’s you or a reading friend or family member. That will give you something to wrap up to put under the tree with the promise of my book showing up the first of May to let you or your favored reader be one of the first to have the book in hand.

If you would rather order the book from Amazon, Barnes and Noble or Christianbook.com, those sites plus others have the book available for pre-orders too.

With winter right around the corner, it’s good to think about meadows full of daisies. Of course, what I really need to think about is Christmas shopping, but I usually delay that until after Thanksgiving. I did already buy my giveaway prize for my Christmas newsletter that will go out soon. I think it will be something you will like. I’ll also have some special giveaway codes for my new audio book, Love Comes Home. I plan to share the cover I designed for the audio book in my newsletter. So watch for it in the next couple of weeks.

Are you happy to see a book gift under your Christmas tree?

I love Baker Book House, Karen. They are super nice people with some great products in their store besides all the wonderful books. I was fortunate enough to be able to go to Michigan a couple of times to be at their bookstore. Thank you so much for pre-ordering my book. That is so appreciated.

  2. I love receiving books for Christmas and my birthday…When the Meadow Blooms is being released 3 days too late for me to ask for it for my next birthday….can’t wait to read it though! 🙂

Thank you so much for pre-ordering When the Meadow Blooms. I appreciate your interest in my stories and I do hope that this new story will be one that will be an encouraging read. There is some joy and sorrow, hard times and good times, and even a touch of wonder about what might have happened in the past in the story.

  4. Just now, I pre-ordered When the Meadow Blooms through Baker Books. I love book gifts under the tree, but I usually have to buy them myself, wrap them, and then open them in front of my family since my husband thinks I have too many books already. Fortunately my husband has become interested in reading books now that he’s older, retired, and has more time for pleasure reading. I buy him books too as presents; however, he likes reading biographies best of all. My favorites are Christian fiction in various genres.

Wonderful, Suzanne. I so much appreciate you pre-ordering my upcoming book. I do hope you’ll enjoy the story when you get it in May. Or sometimes they ship those out a little earlier.

I love getting books. Now I just need to find some extra time to read them all. My husband likes to read but he has vision difficulties now. Guess he’s ready for large print books. And he does enjoy television. Me, I’d rather read.
