The Outsider, my book about a Shaker girl in the early 1800's, will be in stores August 1.

Its story of forbidden love and new beginnings is getting a good response from reviewers and booksellers all over the country. Library Journal recommended all libraries get it for their readers. If you've been reading my Hollyhill Series, I hope you had fun getting to know Jocie and her family. The Scent of Lilacs, the first book in the series, was one of Booklist's top ten Christian novels for 2006. The story continued in Orchard of Hope where Jocie and friends faced a whole new set of challenges in one of the hottest and driest summers ever in Hollyhill, Kentucky. In the third book, Summer of Joy, every knock on the door brings a new threat to my Hollyhill family's happiness. Each book is a stand-alone story, so jump in anywhere and then go back and see what happened in Hollyhill in the other books. You'll meet some loveable and quirky characters along the way that are bound to make you smile.

Angels at the Crossroads, one man's inspirational journey from wrongdoing to redemption, is my only non-fiction title. Jerry Shepherd sang in the same gospel quartet as my husband for six years and when I heard his story I had to write it down. Angels at the Crossroads, received a Reader Views Reviewers Choice Award for Nonfiction - Memoir/Autobiography/Biography.

A great way to get Angels at the Crossroads is at one of the Patriot Quartet's concerts. That way you'll not only get an autographed copy of Jerry's inspiring true story of redemption and love, you'll have the chance to hear some great Southern Gospel music. Jerry also has the book available for purchase each time he gives his amazing testimony in word and song at a church or event. Both Jerry and/or I are available for talks for your church or organization. I enjoy sharing my writing experiences and I also do Bible centered inspirational talks such as "Where in the story of Jonah are you?" or "Lord, are you sure you're talking to me?"
