The cat stories aRicky 2009 age 15re rolling in. I’m enjoying hearing all about your favorite cats and all the things they do or did to both drive you crazy and make you love them.

Flora tell us about two of her cats, Mitzi and Ricky. Mitzi crossed the Rainbow Bridge at age 21 and Ricky at age 19½ so since Flora got them when they were kittens, she had a long time to love them. Here are her stories.

Ricky had an accidental “bath” in the toilet (someone left the lid up) when he was a kitten and streaked past us through the living room straight under the dining room hutch. When we got him out, my daughter decided it would be a good idea to blow dry him. (Even after I said “Not a good idea.”) Let’s just say she went to school the next day with a few “war wounds.” LOL

As a kitten Mitzi used to climb up my back and sit on my shoulder to watch me do the dishes.  She would sit in a window and bark at theMitzi 2006 age 15 dogs (yep – she was bilingual LOL). She could also say my daughter’s name (Karen – but it came out more like “Maren”) close enough to cause many hilarious and confusing moments between my daughter and me that went something like this:

K – “What mom?”

me – “What what ?”

K – “You called me.”

me – “No, I didn’t.”

K – “Yes, you did, I heard you!”

Mitzi – “Maren!!”

K and me – “Ohhhhhhhhhhhh!!”

Thanks, Flora, for sharing your talking cat’s story. Our pets do have a way of making us smile. Flora was nice enough to send me photos of her sweet cats after I posted her story. Ricky’s up at the top and Mitzi is down here getting reading to say, “Maren!”  So now you can see Flora’s buddies that are waiting for her on the other side of the Rainbow Bridge.
